I really enjoyed the science-fiction aspects of this book. The book also has good character development and growth. There is plenty of action, humor, and enough twist interns to keep the reader interested. As far as the growth of the characters is concerned there is an interplay between them that you want to see develop. I personally like anything to do with transported technology that’s why I’ve always enjoyed reading Mr. McGinnis says books. Spaceships, artificial lifeforms, dragons, how much more could you ask for. Great book, great series. This is a great next chapter in this series. Mark carries the story along with galvin and most of the crew from the hamilton. Theres the varapin to fight, pylor pirates too... I didnt see what was coming at the end, but theres some hints along the way. Of course the story doesnt end here, but its going to take an unanticipated turn, hopefully for the best overall outcome. Theres some new, really cool, tech; toys as they say, but theyre sorely needed. The empress is back with an even better holodeck world. And galvin uses both wisely, although he continues to be slightly nuts and disobedient of his admirals orders. All to his credit because he is successful because he thinks and outside the box. Its fun and exciting and too short a book. I cant wait for the next installment. Enjoy...
